Ed the owner of this property walked into my office on October 11, 2020. He originally wanted to rent the house out and sell it later in the year.
I let him know how the market was and told him it was a great time to sell. He handed the keys over to me and said "go take a look at it, and tell me what you think".

That same day I took a look and was amazed at how well the house was maintained. It was built in 1962 and had great bones, not to mention great views and in a great location.

Ed had is real estate license and was well known in the industry as a man, who worked hard and expected the same from others. He was a manager of many great Realtors in his time. Great because of him no doubt. As you can imagine I was honored to list his property as either a rental or for sale.

We sat down and went over the numbers, he said "list it for sale". We got to work right away.

As time went on, I got to know Ed and what he expected of me. I made sure I did the best job possible for him. Each time I showed his property I would follow up with a phone call to him. He thought that was great!

There were many ups and downs during the sale of his property, but each time we got through them together as a team. Ed was one of those people that never let anything get in the way and was determined to find the right buyer for his family home. We received many offers, but being in the business, Ed knew what he wanted and felt the right buyer hasn't come along yet.

On December 16, 2020 the right buyer came along, he came with his agent Nancy Morris. Nancy and I worked together for our clients to get to the closing table while making both buyer and seller happy.

Sadly my new friend Ed passed away in January, before we could celebrate the sale of his home. I learned a lot from Ed during my time of knowing him. He had a wonderful family who supported his decisions. His family was extremely helpful and became great team members to continue Ed's desire to sell his home.

Today I picked up the sign at the property and said congratulations once again to the new owner. We hope he has as many great memories as Ed and his family had living in the home by the sea.

R.I.P my friend and thank you for trusting me with your beloved family home.
